Born in Rocky Mount, NC and raised in Raleigh, NC, Ginger relocated with her family to Emerald Isle in 1986. She married her husband Luis, a United States Marine, in 1988. After moving around for a few years the Marine Corp brought Luis and Ginger back to Onslow County where they raised their family. Luis and Ginger have 2 children, Logan and Rachel. When Luis and Ginger returned to the Swansboro area she went to work as a sales manager at a local manufactured and modular home business. When she left in 2005, she held the title of Vice President. During her time there she earned several sales awards to incude #1 in sales volume in the state and #6 in sales volume in the nation for Fleetwood Homes. In 2005 Ginger left that company after obtaining her real estate and brokers license. She worked for other firms until opening her own firm in 2015.

Ginger has served her community in various roles. In 2012 she was awarded Business Woman of the Year by The Swansboro Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2014 she served as The Swansboro Area Chamber of Commerce President. Ginger has served as the President of the Swansboro Area Development Foundation since 2017. This foundation has donated over $500,000 towards community projects such as, a $150,000 donation towards building a community rec center, building a dog park, funding educator project grants and donating over $200,000 to local animal rescue groups. She also currently serves on the Swansboro Economic Development Committee. 

Ginger has volunteered with The Carteret County Association of Realtors in several capacities. She vonlunteered with the public relations committee from 2009-2017. In 2017 she served as the Secretary of The Crystal Coast Chapter of The Women's Council of Realtors. In 2018 Ginger served as MLS President of the Carteret County Association of Realtors. In 2018 Ginger was awarded the President's Service Award by the CCAR President. In 2019 Ginger was honored to receive the prestigious Realtor of the Year Award. She has served as the CCAR RPAC chair since 2017 and currently serves as CCAR's 2023 President Elect. In October 2022 at The NC Realtor Conference Ginger will become a graduate of the NC William C. Bass Leadership Academy.
